autarcie is the first release by oreille sorcier -otherwise known as Maitre Selecto, moniker under which he frequently releases self-made thematic mixtapes centered on world music, trance or even school choirs, often in collaboration with the label Nordzee Tapes. autarcie is partially sample-based and seems to evolve in its own leftfield explorations, a very deep ambient project evoking the strong feelings of walking around discovering a foreign place, surrounded by the emphasized sounds of life in a dislocated time and space. this moody lo-fi album stems from the DIY ethos of the artist and the desire to collaborate with TAKENINAKE and graffiti artist ZOMBIE92 on a unique physical release we hope you'll appreciate.
