Romance VII is the only album published under the name HGHWND by Joel Kynan Williams. Though the dude probably has more projects than we can imagine, there are some you may have already crossed paths with multiple times, such as Sweet Valley or Spirit Club (definitely check out his other stuff though, great and varied gems there). This fine piece of internet pop came out in 2013, and I am very pleased with how it still holds up today, providing lush and grainy melodies on top of big noisy proto-trap beats like I haven't really heard again since. It may be due to the near-narrative track listing thay plays very well with the video game reminiscences and mostly, the very drugged out atmosphere, creating a perfect setting for laying high in your couch all afternoon listening to cool tapes.
